ABOUT JEROBOAM
In the beginning there was ORIGINO origin in Esperanto. This powerful creation, built around a unique cocktail of musks, was imagined by independent perfumer Vanina Muracciole.
Concentrated into an intense perfume extract, this “ball of musks” became far more than a bold olfactory statement. For François Hénin, founder of Jovoy perfumes and boutiques, it marked the true origin of a new creative journey.
What started as a playful experiment between perfumer and creator led to the birth of an entirely new brand: Jéroboam. The pieces fell into place naturally, almost like a word game. From one idea came another, sparking a universe that felt instantly distinctive.
Its compact 30ml bottle, paradoxically named after a three-liter wine bottle, captures the contrast that François Hénin loves. Jéroboam fragrances are so intense, so confident, and so unique that they required a format bold enough to match their character.
The name felt inevitable, a perfect fit for creations with such powerful presence.
Since many contemporary perfumes are built on musky bases, ORIGINO and the Jéroboam line were conceived as universal fragrances.
It was only natural to name the perfumes using Esperanto, a language designed in the 19th century to become a universal means of communication. Jéroboam perfumes, with their compact flacon, are ideal companions for the modern urban nomad.
Their concentrated extracts function as a genuine Lingvo Internacia: an international language of seduction that reminds us that sometimes fragrance speaks more clearly and convincingly than words ever could.
